Design Consultation Services

We offer residential design consultation to homeowners, builders or contractors interested in remodeling, home additions, code compliance verification and more. These services are often a discussion or review of ideas, plans, etc. prior to implementation of projects or construction. We will help you design a project or simply verify your project meets the adopted building codes within the authority having jurisdiction or AHJ (generally a local City or County building codes department). Depending on your needs we can perform periodic inspections of the construction project. Due to the varying degree of these needs, the associated costs will be discussed prior to a contract being established. Examples of these services include, but are not limited to:

• Residential plan review (new builds, remodels, additions, decks, accessory dwelling units, etc.)

• Accessory structure design (decks, sheds, storage buildings, fences, detached garages, etc.)

• Accessory structure plan review (standalone review of your supplied plans)

• Landscaping review (verify grade/topography allows water flow to intended locations)

• Residential remodels (bathroom, kitchen, cosmetic or structural)

Projects or construction may require review by a state-specific Registered Design Professional such as an architect or structural engineer. Determination is based upon the scope of work for the project/construction and as required by the local authority having jurisdiction. We will help acquire these reviews but fees are subject to the Registered Design Professional's terms.
